The Civivi Dogma C2005E is a cool EDC pocket knife, with an outspoken design. The clippoint shaped blade has a pointed tip for the more detailed tasks. Remarkable about the handle is the faux-bolster. Because of an adjustment of the handle material it looks like the knife is enhanced with a bolster. It 'breaks' the design and ensures that it looks balanced and well thought-out. The hollow grind looks amazing. It is thin to make sure the Dogma is amazing to use.
You quickly open this knife with the flipper or the royal thumb hole. It is remarkable that Civivi enhanced this knife with ceramic ball bearings. A feature you often see on knives in a much higher price range. When opened the blade is locked by a solid liner lock. As such your fingers are safe when you use this knife.
Remarkable about this pocket knife is that the handle is made from brass. Quite heavy, but also very decent. Because of the black coating and the applied texture the knife looks really cool. In time brass will form its own patina, making each knife unique.
The blade is made from D2 steel. This is a tough type of steel that retains it sharpness well. You can easily sharpen it yourself which is great if you use it on a daily basis. Do, however, be careful with moisture and acids: D2 is not completely stainless. So clean the knife after use, especially when (fruit)acids, salt or moisture came into contact with the knife.
