From a history of providing a steady stream of successful products, WE Knife Co. Ltd. (WE) has earned the reputation for always delivering innovative designs manufactured with consistently high quality. As a result, WE has established itself as the largest Chinese manufacturer of quality cutlery.
Reacting to the needs of the market, in 2018 WE introduced the CIVIVI brand to specifically focus on offering a functional, utilitarian, EDC product line at more affordable prices.
By merging WE’s core values of innovative design & quality manufacturing with handle materials such as carbon fiber, micarta, wood, G10, fiber-glass reinforced nylon and blade materials such as CPM S35VN, Damascus, 154CM, Nitro-V, N690, 14C28N, VG-10, D2, 10Cr15CoMoV, 9Cr18MoV, CIVIVI products will provide their users with value & performance without compromise.
CIVIVI knives look good, feel good, work well and get the job done- all without breaking the bank. Like their WE Knife brethren, they too, are “MADE BETTER”.
1. CIVIVI Ki-V Black CIVC2108B - £64.95
Prolific EDC and utility knife designer Ostap Hel has worked his magic once again with the CIVIV Ki-V. This fifth pocket front flipper detent lock slipjoint is a mouthful we know but also a great choice for everyday carry. Its compact profile, as we said, is perfect for a fifth pocket on your favorite pair of jeans or also as a money clip knife as the deep carry clip lets it - or some cash - bury nice and deep. The extended blade tang isn't overly long like a friction folder but it does have a large area for you to access using your thumb or index finger to get the blade moving. Once deployed, the straight Wharncliffe cutting edge is great for utility work, biting into the material you need to cut with the lightest pressure. The straight lines of the handle and blade may not look comfortable but on a knife this size, the square shape actually helps to fill the hand better and make the knife more usable. To say we're impressed with the Ki-V is quite an understatement, we can't think of a knife this size that gets this many things right. It's mighty impressive!
2. Civivi Baklash Linerlock Copper Damascus C801DS2 - £94.95
The Baklash is CIVIVI Knives first offering, landing right in the sweet spot of being both an EDC and a tactical blade. Its size gives you plenty of reach and its solid build quality can be counted on in a life-threatening situation. However, it's quite slender, flips like butter, and features a relatively bright, noticeable finish, so EDC might be its preferred cup of tea. Whatever you plan on doing with the Baklash though, rest assured it is built to perform. The 3.5" hollow ground drop point blade is made of beautiful Damascus and rides on stainless ball bearings for the smoothest action possible while maintaining this incredible price point. The handle is milled copper over full stainless steel liners with a reversible tip-up pocket clip. It's ergonomic, fast, and functional - designed to appeal to the masses and we think CIVIVI has definitely done that. We are excited about this subset brand of WE Knife Company, they're poised to take over the value knife market and we're glad to be along for the ride.
3. Civivi Chronic Linerlock Purple C917D - £54.95
The 917 Chronic is an EDC gentleman's knife with a slim and petite profile. The clip point blade is made from satin-finished 9Cr18MoV stainless steel and deploys quickly and easily thanks to the caged steel bearings in the pivot. This gives it that satisfying snap during deployment that CIVIVI knives excel at. The narrow handles are made from G10 with a subtle texturing that provides a firm grip despite the slim shape. The knife comes with a reversible stainless steel pocket clip that, when combines with the shape of the knife, makes it so that you will hardly notice the knife in your pocket. We are excited about this subset brand of WE Knife Company, they're poised to take over the value knife market and we're glad to be along for the ride.
4. Civivi Brigand Linerlock Black Damascus C909DS - £94.00
The 909 Brigand is a knife you turn to when you need to get work done. The reverse tanto blade has a very sharp tip for puncturing and a finger choil for fine detail work. The ergonomic handle is textured chamfered G10 over a skeletonized stainless steel frame which is simple and effective. You have a very solid grip with materials that are designed to withstand use and abuse so you can treat this knife like a tool rather than a trophy. Jimping on the thumb ramp and flipper tab are well-executed and functional while a ball bearing pivot ensures smooth flipping action. We enjoy both the look and feel of this knife and think it will outperform its price tag by a mile.
5. Civivi Elementum Linerlock Blue C907F - £79.95
The simple Elementum C907F by CIVIVI features blue G10 handle scales and a corrosion-resistant D2 blade. The robust appearance, dependability and – last but not least – the unbeatable price point make the Elementum an excellent choice for everyday use. The blade can be opened easily with the flipper and is secured with a linerlock. With deep-carry clip and lanyard hole (tip-up).
6. Civivi Mastodon Linerlock Damascus Cleaver C2012DS1- £99.95
The Mastodon is similar to the CIVIVI Bullmastiff design but with a more traditional cleaver blade featuring the trademark hole. It also comes in two sizes for everyday carry and tactical uses and we love how each of these knives performs. Cleaver blades are really coming into their own and their uses for all sorts of tasks apart from chopping - and their intimidating look - make them a real favourite. Add in a stout ergonomic handle and you have a recipe for success. The Mastodon is a great food prep, utility, and tactical design rolled into one.
7. Civivi Odium Linerlock Jade C2010F - £59.95
The Odium is another collaboration with Ferrum Forge Knife Works, based on the Malice but with value at the forefront of its design. Certain material choices were made to achieve this price point - mainly the D2 blade, G10 scales, and liner lock replacing the M390, titanium, and frame lock but it's also a much smaller design. This little guy shines as an everyday carry blade as its wide, stout nature makes it durable enough for hard use while remaining extremely easy to carry. The finger choil is excellent for fine detail work and hard use cutting while the thumb slot allows for multiple opening methods besides the flipper. The Odium is a really excellent design from Elliot and Chris that we think deserves recognition as a premier EDC piece that, for the money, is extremely hard to beat.
8. Civivi Pintail Linerlock Damascus Black C2020DS-1 - £99
The Pintail, with its wide blade and handle, reminds us of older CIVIVI designs like the Hooligan and Durus. It stands on its own, however, as a hark working EDC tool with a bit of flair. This comes in the form of the beautiful grind lines on the drop point blade and all the models featuring improved handle materials and ergonomics. All have chamfered edges and a reversible deep-carry clip that is very well designed. The scales sit on top of skeletonized stainless steel frames giving this compact flipper a ton of toughness, which we love. Add in the natural thumb ramp for comfortable cutting and excellent action and you have a recipe for success. The Pintail is waiting for your call.
9. Civivi Praxis Linerlock Damascus Purple C803DS-2 - £94.95
The Praxis is the kind of knife you'd want if you literally only had one knife. It has the reach and strength you need in a tactical folding knife while the ergonomic grip makes for a sure hold in any weather conditions. Add in the fact that it's a darn good looking folder and you have a recipe for success and an extremely versatile blade to boot. The 3.75" flat ground drop point blade is made of beautiful Chinese Damascus and rides on stainless ball bearings for the smoothest action possible while maintaining this incredible price point. The handle is milled G10 over full stainless steel liners with a reversible deep-carry tip-up pocket clip. It's ergonomic, fast, and functional - designed to appeal to the masses and we think CIVIVI has definitely done that. We are excited about this subset brand of We Knife Company, they're poised to take over the value knife market and we're glad to be along for the ride.
